If you're evaluating LinkdAPI and are confused about how rate limits work between RapidAPI and our official website, you're not alone. This is one of the most common questions we receive, so we’ve created this article to make everything simple and transparent.

You Might Be Confused Between Two Models

LinkdAPI is available through two different platforms:

  • RapidAPI — Uses a subscription-based model (Basic, Pro, Ultra, Mega, etc.)
  • LinkdAPI.com (our direct platform) — Uses a credit-based system with performance tiers

Each platform has its own pricing, rate limits, and infrastructure. However, many users mistakenly assume that limits are combined. This is not the case.

No Overlap Between Limits

There is no conflict or overlap between the two models.

  • If you're using RapidAPI, you are only subject to the limits and quotas of your chosen RapidAPI subscription. Our internal limits do not apply.
  • If you're using linkdapi.com directly, then your limits are based on your credit balance and tier, completely independent of RapidAPI.

Example

Let’s say you subscribe to the “Ultra” plan on RapidAPI, which allows 120 requests per second and up to 2 million requests per month. In that case:

  • You can send up to 120 requests per second.
  • You’ll only be limited if you exceed the plan’s request per second or monthly quota.
  • You will not receive any “Too Many Requests” errors from LinkdAPI’s internal systems unless you go beyond RapidAPI’s own limits.

Which One Should You Choose?

The right choice depends on your use case, budget, and preference for control.

Choose RapidAPI if:

  • You prefer a fixed monthly subscription with auto-billing.
  • You want a simple way to get started quickly without managing usage manually.
  • Your project is small to medium-scale and you’re okay with RapidAPI’s rate limits.

Choose linkdapi.com if:

  • You want better long-term pricing — our credits give more value per dollar than RapidAPI’s subscriptions.
  • You need higher flexibility, custom scaling, or dedicated rate tiers (up to 140 requests per minute or more).
  • You want direct communication with the API team, priority support, and the ability to scale beyond RapidAPI limits.
  • You want to future-proof your integration.

Important Note on RapidAPI Reliability

RapidAPI is a third-party marketplace, and while it offers a convenient entry point, it is not guaranteed to host LinkedIn-related APIs permanently. In fact, RapidAPI has previously removed LinkedIn APIs after receiving warnings from LinkedIn.

Using LinkdAPI through our official website is the only future-proof and stable solution. We control our own infrastructure, limits, roadmap, and availability. If your business depends on this API, we strongly recommend building on our platform directly.

Accepted Payment Methods

At the moment, we accept payments in cryptocurrency only (e.g., USDT, ETH, BTC). This allows us to operate globally and stay flexible.

We are actively working on adding traditional payment methods including credit cards and bank transfers. These will be rolled out in future updates.

In Summary: There is no overlap between RapidAPI and our credit system. Each works independently. For long-term reliability and flexibility, we recommend using LinkdAPI directly via our website at linkdapi.com.
